Adventures in Paradise was born out of a love for and the beauty of the enchanting village of Glenorchy. This tiny town has been attracting visitors to the head of Lake Wakatipu since the first settlers arrived in 1861 and people continue to be drawn to this magical place today. Surrounded by towering mountains, braided rivers, deep-blue lakes and lush beech forests, Glenorchy is a true slice of paradise.

Just a 45-minute drive from Queenstown, the road to Glenorchy is known as one of the most beautiful drives in the world. But don’t worry – you can leave all the driving to us while you sit back and soak in the spectacular views. Just make sure to have your camera handy as these views are sure to take your breath away!

Camp Glenorchy Eco Lodge, your home base, is located in the heart of Glenorchy, nestled between two stunning mountain ranges, a glacier-clad peak, and two rivers – the Dart and the Rees – which braid together at Glenorchy to form the headwaters of Lake Wakatipu.
